Choosing your car

I often receive complaints from customers on not being able to pick the exact car they want when making a reservation or renting a car. A small fleet of rental cars is about 300. A large fleet of rental cars is about 900. Cars throughout the day are constantly being rented and returned, sent to mechanics for oil changes, tire rotation, and repairs, and rentals for cars are extended or early/late being brought back (if at all). Therefore, there are no guarentees when requesting a car color, model, brand new off the lot, or smoking preference. One customer begged for a car that would not break down on her. Can't promise that either, I am a bad fortuneteller. I could only give her the one with the least mileage.

If anyone has a computer program or grand scale plan for customers to pick color, smoking preference, car model, or brand new off the lot and have that car guarenteed to be delivered to the customer, I am sure the car rental companies would be most eager to try it. In the meantime, we can guarentee you nothing. You can only reserve a car class such as small, medium, large, speciality, etc. To my knowledge all car rental companies are like that.
